YouTube & social videos

The browser can try any HTTP(S) link, but social sites often block cross-origin requests or require login. For YouTube, Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, X, Reddit, Vimeo, Twitch and other supported sites, use the CLI when browser access fails. No downloader can guarantee every social site or video.

Install the video extra and FFmpeg, then download a single video:

python -m pip install -U "onekit-tools[video]"
onekit download "https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VIDEO_ID" -o downloads/

For videos requiring your existing login, add --cookies-from-browser firefox (or chrome, edge, brave), or --cookies cookies.txt. Cookies are read only when requested and stay on your device. Use --list-formats -o formats.json to inspect streams, --quality 720 to limit resolution, --format-id ID to select a stream, or --referer URL for sources that need their original page.

The CLI supports sites handled by yt-dlp, with a 128 MiB output limit. Some sites require authentication or additional runtimes; support can change. Setup details · Supported sites

No. Thanks to advanced file-processing technology, your files are processed directly on your device, inside your browser. OneKit does not receive your input files or results. Required public processing libraries may download when you first use the tool.
