How to use Video Compressor

  1. Choose your MP4, WEBM, MKV, MOV, AVI, GIF, MPEG, MPG, M4V, OGV, TS.
  2. Upload a video and choose Light, Balanced or Maximum compression. The browser engine downloads on first use. Up to 4K (3840×2160 or portrait), with a resolution-dependent duration: up to 10 minutes at 1080p or 150 seconds at 4K. File and output limits apply separately.
  3. Download the compressed MP4, or the original if compression does not produce a smaller file.

What to expect

Processes locally with FFmpeg. Browser processing uses WebAssembly and downloads the engine on first use; large videos are better suited to the CLI. Re-encoding may lose quality. GIF output has no audio. Browser limits: Up to 4K (3840×2160 or portrait), with a resolution-dependent duration: up to 10 minutes at 1080p or 150 seconds at 4K. File and output limits apply separately.

Do my files leave my device?

No. Thanks to advanced file-processing technology, your files are processed directly on your device, inside your browser. OneKit does not receive your input files or results. Required public processing libraries may download when you first use the tool.
